Matthew Brady (1799 - 1826)
In 1820 Mathew Brady was sentenced to be transported for seven years for stealing food. During four years he received a total of 350 lashes for escape attempts and other misdemeanours. In 1824 Brady escaped from Sarah Island - Macquarie Harbour and was captured in 1826.
Brady was convicted and hanged on May 4th 1826
